The International Specialized Exhibition Reklama’2009. Post-release
On November 9-12, 2009 Reklama, the 17th International Specialized Exhibition arranged by Expocentre and the National Advertising Association took place at the Expocentre Fairgrounds. Taking into account the importance of advertising for all Russian economy branches development the Exhibition was traditionally supported by the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Moscow City Government.
The high international rating and prestige of the Show are confirmed with labels of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF).
At the opening ceremony of Reklama’2009 Senior Vice President of the Russian Federation Chamber Commerce and Industry, Chairman of the Russian Advertising Week Organizing Committee Boris N. Pastukhov called the event “the largest advertising exhibition in Russia”, and focused his attention on its international status. He also noted that the advertising industry was one of the instruments to overcome the world economic crisis, to develop industry, trade and external economic links.
Chairman of the Advertising Committee of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the National Advertising Association Boris Shkolnikov stressed that the Russian Advertising Week took place under complicated conditions. The global economic crisis affected the advertising market as well. That was why monitoring, the situation analysis, exchange of experience, application of innovative developments were of great importance. Just the Russian Advertising Week and the Reklama exhibition helped the participants to estimate their potential, to focus efforts and to develop new co-operation forms.
The status of the guests invited to the opening ceremony confirmed the importance and significance of the event. The Reklama exhibition always indicated the development of the advertising industry. This factor was confirmed with the quantity of exponents participated in the Show in spite of current economic situation.
168 exponents from 12 countries took part in the 17th International Specialized Exhibition Reklama’2009. The whole range of innovative products and services in the field of the advertising industry were demonstrated in the space of 4 070 sq meters.
The Reklama’2009 Exhibition reflected interest of foreign and domestic advertising companies in the rapidly growing advertising market. New types of advertising and forms of its presentation were demonstrated by such renowned companies as Helvetika, HR, Khimsyrio, LIR, LRT, Mehler Technologies GmbH, Orgsteklo, Russkom, WeMaTec, Zenon Sign Supply and many other ones.
All the problem situations in the advertising market were widely covered within the Forum business related programme. The special attention was focused on management in the crisis situation. There were given practical examples to avoid negative consequences in business. The subjects related to new management concept, innovations in the advertising communications, marketing research and business ideas were discussed during four Exhibition days.
A considerable part of the Forum events was devoted to the current state of the advertising industry and its prospects.
The Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on advertising entrepreneurship, the Council of Associations of the Media Industry and the Russian Branch of the International Advertising Association (IAA) held a joint meeting with the bounds of the Russian Advertising Week on November 9, 2009. One of the issues they discussed related to the current state of the Russian advertising industry in the run-up to the 2010 IAA World Congress in Moscow.
Holding of the IAA World Congress in Moscow is a Russian image in the international advertising community. It is a beautiful and large scale event in the Russian advertising market. Chief executives of the media industry, heads of the largest companies-advertisers will take part in the Congress. They will have a good opportunity to demonstrate the investment appeal of the Russian economy. Such an event testifies the great interest in the Russian advertising market and its active integration into the world advertising industry.
Russian Advertising Industry Today. Advertising Budgets’2009-2010, the annual practical conference of the Advertising Federation of Regions organized by the Advertising Federation of Regions Association and the “New Line Business” Centre-business-education with the assistance of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on advertising entrepreneurship was held within the bounds of the Exhibition. It was an open area for specialists in the field of ADVERTISING, MEDIA, PR and BTL to exchange experience, to find solutions of relevant market problems. The Reklama’2009 business programme of related events comprised the Advertising Session of the Advertising Federation of Regions Association dealt with a strategy of creative ideas in marketing communications, an overview of design technologies and new media.
New business contacts were established in the course of the Conference. More than 130 advertising specialists from over 30 cities and towns including Nizhniy Novgorod, Smolensk, Tambov, Vladivostok, Belgorod, Novokuznetsk, Armavir, Yekaterinburg, Vologda, St-Petersburg, Moscow, Perm, Krasnodar, Khabarovsk, Samara, Kazan, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk and others took part in it. At the end of the event Advertising Best Collection (ABC) Show by the winners of international festivals of 2009 was arranged. Each participant was presented with a reference book of the Moscow advertising companies cooperating with regions.
The Reklama’2009 business programme of related events was focused on the following key trends in the modern advertising industry undergone changes during the economic instability: Internet-advertising, relevant and effective means of promotion.
Every day of the Exhibition was saturated with various events and arrangements. The business support programme was prepared by the National Advertising Association, the Reklamnyie tekhnologii Publishing House and the Moscow Association of Entrepreneurs. The programme comprised a lot of seminars, round tables, presentations and master classes. The thematic events showed that the market was developing; new projects and more efficient promotion tools appeared. The progress has not avoided the advertising industry. The outdoor advertising is becoming more civilized though it is behind the Internet one. Social engineering and effective rebranding are actively developing.
All-Russian Contest Advertising Design traditionally took place; its winners were rewarded with diplomas and awards.
The 17th international specialized exhibition Reklama’2009 once again confirmed its status as the main Russian Forum of new ideas and solutions, materials and technologies in the advertising industry. The number of visitors totaled 10 165 people, 94% of whom were specialists.
The Reklama’2009 show is a graphic evidence of the fact that the advertising business exists; it is developing and gaining a new qualitative matter. This Forum will help advertising agencies and advertisers to up-grate adverting products and services, to improve their social responsibility and to accelerate the development of the Russian entrepreneurship, and the creation of local advertising networks in regions.
The next edition of the Reklama Exhibition will take place at the Expocentre Fairgrounds on November 8-11, 2010.
